Bidding for the Online Auction is open! You can bid until 1:45 pm next Sunday, January 23. You’ll find over 100 fantastic donations, at all price points, for you to bid on. Art, antiques, classes, home goods, quilts, services, musical instruments, vacation rentals, gym equipment. The list goes on! Here are some things to know about bidding:
All items have a minimum opening bid and a minimum increment to bid. Almost all items have a “Buy It Now” option, so if you really want it, you can just buy it.
When placing a bid, your personal information is not visible to other bidders. Your privacy is safe!
Proxy bidding is enabled. That means that you can put in a bid, and then “schedule” a higher bid that goes into effect if someone tries to outbid you.

If you prefer to work on your phone, consider installing the Auctria Bidding App. (After installing, click Enter An Event and type “uusalem”.)
If you register to bid, you’ll be entered in a raffle for a champagne basket with edibles.
Join us on Sunday, January 23 at 1 pm for the Auction Closing Event on Zoom. Hosted by Joel Woodman and Gloria Holland — It’s sure to be a fun time!! We’ll take final bids on 4 items:
- A week in Mexico at one of several possible locations
- A Wurlitzer spinet piano
- A Mission-style dining room table and 10 chairs
- A jazzy hand-made quilt
The event will also feature a raffle. We’ll choose one name from everyone who registered to bid. If that person is present at the close, they win two bottles of Brut champagne, two hand-made goblets and some nibbles.
Here’s what happens if you win an item:
- Immediately after bidding closes, you’ll receive an item won notification email from Auctria. You should receive that email around 2 pm on January 23. The email contains a link where you enter your credit card information to pay for your item(s).
- In the next 48 hours after the auction close, you’ll receive another email from a member of the UUCS auction team. The email will be addressed to you, the winner and the donor. After that, you will work with the donor to arrange for delivery. The winner is responsible for any costs incurred during delivery.
