Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a respectful home for intellectual, spiritual, and creative exploration, and to build a community of fellowship, caring and service that lights the flame of social action.
Our Vision
The vision of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Salem is to build a joyful home for free religious exploration where we nurture the hopes and serve the needs of our world.
Our Congregational Affirmation
Love is our doctrine.
Compassion is way.
Here we seek to create a joyful home for free religious exploration,
Nurture the hopes and serve the needs of our world.
…
To create a joyful and respectful home for ourselves in our exploration of truth and meaning, we aim to follow our UU principles, and our Covenant of Good Relations. We are a Welcoming Congregation, and work toward a welcoming spirit and accessibility for all. Our Lifespan Religious Exploration encourages our spiritual side, along with Sunday services and other spiritual events. Our Social Justice in Action Team leads the way in many social justice events, with causes we support in the form of volunteer time, donations to worthy causes, and congregational resolutions to work toward social justice goals.
