Joy and concern. After a 3-year absence from Salem (widowed, remarried, moved to Washington where he lived 40+ years), we recently moved to Salem where I lived 17 of the past 20 years, feeling a part of life here, and looking forward to being involved in the UU Congregation. But involvement with others is very limited because of Covid. I understand this, but need more “other” contact. Right now getting settled in helps, but not the answer. Suggestions? One thing I would enjoy is participation in a women’s walking group (would like to walk with like-minded women), gardening together, painting (watercolor) with others……Feel free to call. I still enjoy birding, maybe on a monthly basis. My husband has not found his niche yet here and that is a concern with me. We will be taking some time off a couple of months get-away in southern California. Personal growth in a vacuum is difficult.
